This was a spontaneous find on an evening of procrastination. Vuzix produces high definition eye wear that integrates video in a mostly inconspicuous way. The company’s products have been available for the past few years, but what struck me is there recent focus on the fashionableness of the eyewear, in addition to their technical attributes.  As others have discussed in their posts and comments, for wearable media to be accepted (whether this be for better or worse) designers must consider the aesthetic value in their products. The most convenient and smart technologies may not find mass appeal without some sort of stylish component that can be easily recognized.
