The Fashioning Circuits students met last week and we now have a plan for the semester.
When we met last week we discussed Rebecca Arnold’s book Fashion: A Very Short Introduction and selected the readings for the remainder of the semester. They include:
- Subculture: The Meaning of Style by Dick Hebdige
- Techno Fashion by Bradley Quinn
The course assignments include blogging, active participation, and two wearable projects. I am attaching the .pdfs with the requirements for undergraduates, graduates, and the common reading calendar.
Next up we have our first Creative Lab, which is an Introduction to the Lilypad Arduino. After that, we’ll begin reading and discussing the Hebdige. Who wouldn’t be excited about this cover?
